Reporting & reputation policy

Before publication

Reports do not require registration. Submissions that pass number validation, bot verification, rate limits and content checks publish immediately. Our team reviews complaints and can correct, restrict or remove content. Automated checks cannot guarantee that every statement is accurate; publication is not an endorsement.

How labels are calculated

Only publicly available reports contribute. Public report cards show the original publication date where supplied, or date unavailable; source, import date and permission records are retained privately for administration. They are not presented as new first-hand submissions and do not add independent sources to the reputation calculation. We group reports by a keyed security fingerprint of the submitting network address, using one contribution per source for the assessment. These sources are an abuse-control signal, not proof of independent people: shared connections, network changes and proxies can affect them.

  • Unknown: insufficient consistent reports for another category.
  • Safe: at least three reporting sources describe legitimate-business or delivery calls, with no scam, harassment or nuisance reports among those sources.
  • Nuisance: at least two sources report sales, automated, silent or debt-collection calls, and nuisance plus risky reports account for at least 60% of sources.
  • Suspected Scam: at least three sources report scam, fraud-attempt or harassment categories, accounting for at least 60% of sources.
  • Dangerous: at least five sources report those risky categories, accounting for at least 80% of sources.

The higher-risk threshold is evaluated first. “Dangerous” is a strong community caution label, not a verified statement that the number’s owner is a criminal. “Safe” does not authenticate a particular call. Reports may describe spoofed calls or a previous user of a number.

Search and indexing

Search counts measure interest, not risk. Unreported numbers are not filled with invented content. A number page is eligible for indexing only after at least three distinct sources and the configured minimum of substantive public reports. The minimum report length and threshold can be increased by administrators.

Challenge a decision

Use the correction or removal form, identify the number or report and explain the concern. Do not submit sensitive evidence publicly. Our team can arrange a proportionate way to review evidence if needed. Read the content removal policy.
